I recently used The Snag Surgeon to carry out a snagging inspection on my new 3-bedroom house, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Martin did an excellent job from start to finish. He was incredibly professional, thorough, and took the time to identify issues that I would never have spotted myself.
The report was clear, detailed, and easy to understand, giving me complete confidence when passing everything on to the developer. Considering the quality of the inspection, I found the price to be very affordable and excellent value for money.

Glad we booked our Snag Inspection with Martin Dore (Snag Surgeon), professional and timely manner. Got our reports on a timely manner. Always response fast to questions and advice via email. We had expert advice to ensure our new build is to standards. We wouldn’t not have realised the amount of repairs needed without his service, he’s brought us a peace of mind to ensure that all things will get rectified. Martin recently carried out a snagging survey on our new apartment and the overall service was outstanding. From start to finish he was professional, thorough and very easy to deal with.
The survey itself was extremely thorough. Martin took his time to carefully inspect every part of the property and produced both an internal and external report, rather than rushing through the visit. The level of detail he went into gave us real confidence that nothing had been overlooked.
The report we received was very clear, well structured and easy to understand. Each issue was supported with photographs, and where applicable he referenced the relevant standards so that we can present a strong and evidence‑based snagging list to the developer. This made the report genuinely practical, not just a list of comments.
The snagging could not be completed in a single afternoon due to the size and complexity of the property. Rather than cutting corners, Martin arranged to return the next day to finish the survey properly, which really demonstrated his commitment to doing a comprehensive job.
On top of this, Martin was punctual, courteous and happy to answer questions throughout the process. His communication before, during and after the visit was excellent, and he clearly explained what he was looking at and why certain issues mattered.
