We used Martin’s snagging service last year, and from start to finish his service was exemplary. The inspection of our new-build home was incredibly thorough, and he took the time to explain every issue in detail, ensuring we fully understood his findings and what they meant. His knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail gave us confidence from day one. More than 12 months on, after a long and difficult battle with the builder that ultimately required the involvement of the NHBC, Martin has continued to support us. He has always been available to offer advice, answer our questions and help us understand the process whenever we needed guidance. What really sets Martin apart is that he genuinely cares about both his profession and his customers. His commitment doesn’t end when the report is delivered—he continues to support people long after the inspection has been completed, which is something we have experienced first-hand. If you are buying a new-build property and want someone who is knowledgeable, thorough, honest and genuinely invested in helping his clients, we would highly recommend Martin. Thank you for everything you have done for us.

Great service from Martin regarding a roof survey on a new-build house. His attention to detail and thoroughness helped me secure full reimbursement for the repair costs from the NHBC. His services are worth every penny. Once again, thank you, Martin!

I recently used The Snag Surgeon to carry out a snagging inspection on my new 3-bedroom house, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Martin did an excellent job from start to finish. He was incredibly professional, thorough, and took the time to identify issues that I would never have spotted myself. The report was clear, detailed, and easy to understand, giving me complete confidence when passing everything on to the developer. Considering the quality of the inspection, I found the price to be very affordable and excellent value for money. I'm extremely pleased with the results and will definitely be using Martin again just before my new-build warranty expires for another inspection. It's reassuring to know someone with his experience is looking out for my interests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Snag Surgeon to family, friends, or anyone buying a new-build property. Martin's attention to detail, knowledge, professionalism, and friendly approach make him stand out. If you're investing in a new home, having The Snag Surgeon inspect it is money very well spent. Highly recommended!

Glad we booked our Snag Inspection with Martin Dore (Snag Surgeon), professional and timely manner. Got our reports on a timely manner. Always response fast to questions and advice via email. We had expert advice to ensure our new build is to standards. We wouldn’t not have realised the amount of repairs needed without his service, he’s brought us a peace of mind to ensure that all things will get rectified. Highly recommended and will be booking him again if we feel another inspection is needed.

Martin recently carried out a snagging survey on our new apartment and the overall service was outstanding. From start to finish he was professional, thorough and very easy to deal with. The survey itself was extremely thorough. Martin took his time to carefully inspect every part of the property and produced both an internal and external report, rather than rushing through the visit. The level of detail he went into gave us real confidence that nothing had been overlooked. The report we received was very clear, well structured and easy to understand. Each issue was supported with photographs, and where applicable he referenced the relevant standards so that we can present a strong and evidence‑based snagging list to the developer. This made the report genuinely practical, not just a list of comments. The snagging could not be completed in a single afternoon due to the size and complexity of the property. Rather than cutting corners, Martin arranged to return the next day to finish the survey properly, which really demonstrated his commitment to doing a comprehensive job. On top of this, Martin was punctual, courteous and happy to answer questions throughout the process. His communication before, during and after the visit was excellent, and he clearly explained what he was looking at and why certain issues mattered. I would have no hesitation in recommending Martin to anyone looking for a genuinely thorough snagging survey. His attention to detail, professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile made the whole experience first‑class.
